Not worth the time.Busy only because it is so close to the park. Eat anywhere else. Management is rude and the food is smothered in greasy artificial cheese. Good reviews must be posted by idiots or management, which may be one and the same.

Food was good,people were caring and nice,would go back there again,when over there.Heard they may be closing there doors,hope not.

Find some other place to eat. The manager is the rudest I have ever experienced. Any place serves better food with better service.

I love the food here. The service has always been great too! I don‘t think they advertise themselves as authentic Mexican food. It is what it is. No trip to Arnold‘s Park is complete without a trip here.

This restaurant is a disgrace.... Right from the outside to within. "Mexican" you cannot tell, mine as well have been in my basement. When our table was brought our "food", have was just smothered in microwaved cheese and half was not even the correct order. When I politely asked to speak with the manager in order to get the correct food, I was told by the owner that I was wrong and her waitress would never get the order wrong!! Really?? When I politely asked if we could change it and get the correct food I was told to get out of here that she was busy and didn‘t have time. She was probably one of the rudest people I have EVER encountered. The food, atmosphere, staff, owner will hands down be the worst restaurant I have ever gone to! Do not waste your money here!

We have been going to Mrs Ladys for 33 years. it use to be a smaller building and they have since built on. Seems people keep coming back! Our family loves the food and so did my husband when he was alive

When you pull up front and wonder if this is really a mexican restaurant, your first impression is correct: it sucks!
Expect to pay an extra dollar for a dollop of sour cream and actually get ranch dressing! Bad bad bad. They should be ashamed to call themselves a mexican restaurant, much less a restaurant.

The worst Mexican restaurant dining experience for us ever. Nachos came on a plate covered in microwaved overly greasy cheese. No salsa. The hard shell taco was half mush. The other half of the shell that survived the sloppy mess was stale and tasted awful.

If you have kids, don‘t think of taking them to Mrs. Lady‘s. The only option for them was cheese and beef, cheese and chicken and chips and cheese served as a greasy mess! I have fond memories of Mrs. Lady‘s as a kid but this wasn‘t the same place tonight. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was a pile of cheese covering shredded dry chicken with a sopping greasy tortilla on the bottom of the plate. Disappointing experience.

I have been eating at Mrs. Lady‘s for years. The food in the past has always been good. I ate their on July 15th and was very disappointed. The food was very greasy and the sopapillas were like shoe leather. The service was horrible as well. There are to many good restaurants in the lake area to have to go back to this place!!!!

we stop every fri night when we get up there the chimi is awesome!!!!

I got 2 beef hard shell tacos and when my plate came, I could fold the tacos in half the opposite way because they were DRENCHED in grease. Very disappointed in Mrs. Lady‘s. NEVER eating there again.

Great Food been eating there for years..

My favorite spot to eat Mexican food at the lakes and it‘s all because of their "chicken enchilada". It‘s huge and literally stuffed with white meat chicken, sour cream, onions and covered with lots of gooey melted cheese. Once you try it you‘ll be back again and again.

Sorry but there are much better options for Mexican. Bland, overly greasy food.

Not good at all. Feel like you are eating a first course of lettuce, olives, tomatoes and sourcream before you get to the main dish, which is tasteless too...no thanks!

Yum!! Sure it isn‘t super authentic..however it is delicious. A great family friendly place to eat. We all love going there. A trip to Okoboji isn‘t complete until we have a meal (and left overs) from Mrs. Ladys!

Mmmmmmmmmmm, this is a great place to eat! I remember when I waas younger I would come up to Okoboji with families I would babysit for. A trip was never complete without the annual trip to Mrs. Lady‘s! The mini insane beef taco, ahhh, that was the best. No matter if you ate all your food or not, we always got ice cream on the way out the door. Do they still have the ice cream too?

LOVE THIS PLACE! Not 100% authentic, but still delicious! Love the beef insane taco....get the big one and take 1/2 home for left overs!!!!!

I have been going to Mrs. Lady‘s since i was a baby. Best insane taco EVER! The mini insane taco is plenty for women. Come hungry and have a few drinks.

Who is Mrs. Lady anyway? I don‘t think she‘s Hispanic, though because this place has nothing close to Mexican food.

Mrs. Lady‘s has great food.. but tough hours for an out-of-towner like me. I recently moved about 20 miles away and though I‘d really love to go there again.. it seems they are always just closing by the time I get there!

For great Mexican food and service go to Marco‘s!

The wait staff is only as good as the people they are managed by. The management is rude and do little to satisfy customers.

The wait staff is horrible. High schoolers with grade school education, do they ever come back to the table to check on your food or just give you the Check?>

We love this place, I DO agree on the waitstaff, there is much to be desired. But the prices are decent, the food it good, they need to add on, so it‘s not so crowded and the lines are not so long. We will return, thanks for the good food.

This is not real mexican food. Even Taco Bell tastes better...which is sad.

Why does everyone go to this place??! No matter what dish you order -everything taste the same! It is just presented differently by using different shells... I would NOT recommend this place at all! Unless of course you want ground beef with lots of lettuce, tomotoes and black olives with NO REAL FLAVOR! Yuck-o! (That doesn‘t even include the not-so-friendly high school waitresses and waiters! Can‘t anyone put a smile on their faces??!)

Althought the food is WONDERFUL, the prices are insane and not the food!!!!

The Insane Taco is awesome! So insane, you may want to try the mini. Great chips and salsa and strong margaritas!
