Heading back to the Lakes for Christmas and I will really miss not heading to Maxwell‘s for dinner. Always great food, wine and service. Wish they would stay open year round!

Service was great. Food however was barely average. Calamari was horrible. Menu is in desperate need of being updated. Very outdated cuisine and way over priced. Won‘t go back. Definatly not the best restuarant in the lakes by any means.

I look forward to Memorial Day weekend each year for many reasons but the opening of Maxwell‘s is certainly a highlight! The food is TOP NOTCH, the service is consistently good, and there are few other places that you can dine with a view of the lake.

Other reviewers have commented that Maxwell‘s is expensive or service is slow. If you‘re looking for a more reasonable and/or quick dining experience, try enjoying your meal outside. Maxwell‘s has a more casual menu available on the patio. Otherwise, enjoy your meal and take your time. It‘s lake life, after all!

The greatest restaurant on Lake Okoboji hands down. The service is top notch and the food is even better! Whenever you‘re in Okoboji you HAVE to spend an evening at Maxwell‘s!

My wife and I went to Maxwell‘s for dinner early one evening. I was having business associates meet us there for dinner and drinks. I asked the waiter if I might get a Pepsi and a burger while we waited. He stated that if I wanted only that I would have to eat it outside where there were workmen assembling something with sawdust flying everywhere! His tone was a I‘m better than you - and my wife got up to make a hasty exit and was encountered by the young lady at the front to "come back sometime when we can afford a real meal!!!" (it was our intent to see if something could be set up for our 30 guests!!) I went directly behind the Maxwell building to the Chamber Office and voiced my complaint. They said that it was unbelievable that we could have been treated that way! They would notify the owner and relay this unheard of action. Nothing came from it and we had a most glorious night at Mineral City! I suggest that the rest of you do the same. I am most happy to be their very worst spokesman and all of my guests went home with the entire story in hand. It‘s the "okoboji attitude" that will get you out of business quickly!
