Gepettos

Gepetto‘s is no more. It is now called Rebo‘s, I believe. Anyone tried it?

Terrible..Terrible..Terrible.. The food is marginal at best but the service is the worst I‘ve ever seen. The filets are o.k. but small. The crab cakes are pre-fab and very bad. Very overpriced!!!!!

Excellent food, terrible server. We had a waiter who was so inept and inattentive that all of his tables were suffering. It was obvious he was frazzled by this too, and was avoiding contact with customers because of it. Granted, the kitchen seemed behind, but that is the time when service should improve and become more communicative or even apologetic. Instead, he "hid" behind the order station, in view of the diners, but not available to fetch appetizer plates for us, or take dirty ones, or refill water, or get more drinks in a timely way. Twice, we tried to flag him down only to have him look past or away from us. We had to get our own plates for the appetizer and share our water. We ordered drinks that didn‘t come, and weren‘t even asked about dessert. Our meal took forever. The whole dining room staff should have been helping him, but the hostess just stood at the station. The bartender finally caught on, and began helping this waiter out, but too late for us. A great view, linen tablecloths and wonderful food can‘t make up for the poor service there, because dining out is about the service too.

We went to this resturaunt on a recommendation from a coworker. The food, view, and service was great. The prices are expensive, but worth it for the food and experience.

The food was good, but not for the price. We arrived without reservations but there were only a few other people in the entire restaurant. The waitress said she would find the hostess to see if they could find a spot for us. we waited 20 minutes because the waitress didn‘t bother telling the hostess we were at the front door. the entire time we ate the restaurant was still half empty. it‘s one of the few fine dining places in the area but it‘s certainly not worth the 30 dollars a plate.

My friend and I arrived on a weekday evening and were able to get a window table w/o a reservation. Beautiful view. We each ordered filet mignon and it was the best steak I have ever had. The wait staff was fine. It was expensive, but worth it. Extensive wine list.

Prices were expensive, but as a visiting English tourist only average, quality was excellent, staff seemed friendly, view was great.

I really like what Chef Tom is doing, these reviews are probabally not accurate! Great food, view and wine list. They are now open May thru Sept seasonally. Looking forward to May!

I love this place.. great food - lots of italian inspired dishes. The waitstaff is usually friendly, although not overly so. Promt service and a wonderful view of the lake in winter or summer! I have tried many of their dishes and love most all of them!

Too expensive for what you get, also visited Willey wood by same owner and Host was rude and laughed when we said we didnt have a reservation, though we saw several empty tables. I will not dine at either places again!

Disappointing for what you recieve. Waitstaff is friendly, food is decent. Not worth the money. Bathrooms were dirty when we visited, and the kitchen did not look clean either from the view I had.

We dined there the other night and saw a cockroach run across the dining room floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have always had a pleasant experience at Gepetto‘s. The wait staff isn‘t overly friendly but definetly not rude. Good food and wonderful view of the lake. When making reservations ask for a window table.

Last time I was there everything I ordered was dripping with oil and the service was not that great. Hopefully it will have changed in the last year.

The view of the lake is the best part of this dining experience. The food is ok but to expensive for what you get. Some of the wait staff can be rude or grumpy. I do not mind the amount of tip they add on to your ticket, but only if it is earned. I feel that if the wait staff knows this is to be added then they do not have to work as hard. I feel the food is compareable to when Jeff was chief but some things are off the menu and replaced with food not as good.

The kitchen is excellent. The dinners are what you would expect for the comparatively high price for the region. However, the floor service is poor, not what you would expect for a high quality restaurant. Forgetful and unapologetic about it (blaming the kitchen for their mistakes!!!). The slap in the face is that they automatically charge a 17.5% tip on a party of seven (although the web page says 15% on parties of ten or more).

If you like butter you‘ll like this place. Almost all the dishes are cooked with way too much butter, and too much salt. Not worth the money.
