I was in Okoboji couple of weeks ago with family and friends. Really enjoyed doing business with extreme watersports. Rented a 14 person pontoon on the first day, parasailing and Jet Ski on the second day. The staff was very courteous and helpful. There were very patient with kids in my group. They did tell me where not to go as it might damage the boats which would result in forfeiting my deposit. Overall they do a great job and would definitely recommend them anytime.

I was very pleased with the whole experience that I had in okiboji, but the jetski rental from extreme watersports was definantly the highlight.
The gentleman who helped us was very kind even after being overwhelmed with phone calls and other coustomers. he even let us slide with not having the whole deposit since we came with cash. We where treated very kindly and where warned about the hazards and to stay on west okiboji. He also showed us how to get back on if we fell off and even picked out the proper lifejackets.
Overall I was very pleased with the coustomer service, pricing, jetski, and the experience as a whole.
Thank you extreme watersports for making our first vacation together one that we will remember

We rented a jet ski and they charged us an extra $45. We didn‘t notice it until we arrived home from vacation. The tall skinny guy was very rude and demanding. We also rented from Mau Marine a few days later and they were nothing but pleasant. The pretty girls at the register at Mau were very helpful and nice, and the young men on the dock were super friendly and helpful. We were going to parasail with Extreme, but I refuse to give them another penny of mine. Sorry Extreme, but the truth hurts.

Not being familiar with the lake, but very familiar with boating, upon arrival to pick up our boat I asked their staff to review the lake with me including hazards, calm water areas, party areas, etc on the map. After a quick 5 second review and the feeling that review was all I was getting, we were off.
The boat broke down half way through our trip. Once someone finally answered the phone, we were treated very disrespectfully as if the boat breaking down was our fault. We were actually told, "you are not starting the boat correctly and we can‘t get there for awhile, you‘ll have to wait." We had a mechanic look at it that just happened to be next to us and even admitted the company needed to come out and fix it. The rental company said they wouldn‘t be able to get to us for more than an hour.
We were on East Lake. We were not to be on East Lake, but were never told this during our 5 second review of the lake nor in the contract. Because we were in East Lake the young man on the phone told us we would not be getting a refund and hung up.
When folks finally arrived to fix the boat, they just got onto the boat without telling anyone who they were, and were very rude. A boat full of 12 women that had been sitting waiting for more than 40 minutes waiting for help, 2 strange men just jumped on and started telling us to move out of their way.
It was determined the boat was malfunctioning. We received absolutely no apology for their error in judgment on the assuming we did not know how to operate the boat nor apology for the boat breaking down. Instead we were told we were bad customers and had to return the boat to the other side of the lake and we were breaking all the rules (which are not in a contract nor were we told about). I asked that the manager be at the dock when we return to the marina so we can speak to him/her about. The young man under his breathe said he’s the manager and I’ll have to deal with him.
We received an extra 30 minutes on the boat, the boat was broken down for 50. But the extra 30 minutes didn’t matter because we had evening plans which we needed to return to.
Upon returning to the marina, the owner was there awaiting us. We received zero apology, instead were scolded for going to a spot on the lake we were not supposed to, and we treated the young man rudely when he came to fix the boat so that is why we received such poor customer service. He mentioned they are rude to customers on the phone because customers never know how to drive a boat and they have to deal with people having trouble starting the boat all the time.
We received 1 hour credit to come back out another day but the owner said, “I’m giving this to you, because it sounds like you won’t be coming back.”
There was a complete lack of customer service and ownership in trying to make the customers happy. The stress dealing with them is not worth it.
This doesn’t include how bad of shape the pontoon was in. The doors did not close properly, radio didn’t work and it was horribly banged up.

I‘m sorry this person feels this way; if their deposit was kept it was BECAUSE THE BOAT WAS DAMAGED! WE pride in ourselves in being fair and honest with our customers. We take this very personal; and we go to the extent to not to have any boats damaged and having to charge a customer.
