Triggs

If you‘re new to Okoboji, let me assure you Triggs is the hidden jem, especially if you bring your boat. There is a launch right across the street, they have an area for your trailer, and you can rent a covered lift. I‘ve been staying at Triggs since the early ‘80‘s and it has never dissapointed. You can‘t beat the location.

That being said... if you‘re expecting the fancy, fancy type "Resort" then you should look elsewhere and be prepared to pay for it too. They did do some remodeling last fall after damage to one of the buildings from the big storm last summer, but it‘s still an older place. However, if you want a good price for an excellent family setting with consistantly friendly staff, then this is your place.

I loved Triggs resort! It was right on the beach, and it was so much fun partying with everyone who was also staying there!
But nothing is perfect. The rooms are literally like jail cells, they smell and are extremely hot at night. There also is no microwave! The TV was nice, as was the big table.
Also the doors dont close at all. You cant even turn the knobs. The wind was constantly banging the door open and shut throughout the night, so we had to wedge a chair between our bed and the door. Pricing is OK, I would go back. We werent in the room alot, so its not a huge deal, but next time I will probably want a room where the door shuts!

I‘ve been coming here since I was a kid. Now with children of my own, I look forward to bringing them to this place that has become a tradition in our family. The owners are excellent and pass their knowledge of hospitality down to their young but professional staff. You will not find a better-run place than this.

Triggs is an Okoboji classic. A great place to relax with the family. My daughter is now older than I was when I started going there as a kid. I hope things are the same when she gets to be my age.

We used to come here as kids. Im now 30 yo. And havent been here since I was 10. Always had blast! And really want to come back, Were planning a trip for next summer, and I cant wait!!

Wonderful staff!! Mike and Jim are great, and all the younger people working at the desk and gas pump are helpful and friendly. The beach is clean and fun for the kids. The pool, gameroom, and paddleboats, etc. make it a terrific place to bring your family. Triggs is the best!

This place rocks!! Nice pool and it‘s on the lake not far from arnolds park.

I think its great place, because thats where I stayed when I was around 5 years old. and now im 16, but what I remember about Triggs is that it is condos, and they facing the lake, and theres a pool and a game room, and you can get ice cream, and pop, and its a great place for kids, and I always like going on the docks. Well I hope this place stays open to years to come.
