Parkside Cottages

Parkside Cottages are great! Before my arrival I was concerned because I had never been to this area before and didn‘t know what to expect. The cottages are clean and neat, about a block from the lake and across the street from Arnold‘s Amusement Park. Rick, the owner is a great host and makes everyone feel welcome. Will certainly return!

Our family stayed at Parkside in August, 2009. Very "neat" historic cottage.
The owners were gracious and fun loving hosts. We liked the fact that there were things to do at the resort like playing in the game room, swimming in the pool, throwing horseshoes, etc.
Everything else like the Amusement Park, swimming beach, restaurants, etc. are in walking distance.
Great place. We plan on returning every summer.

The proprietor, Rick, is a very gracious host and made certain we had everything we needed.
The cottages are clean, cute, and affordable...and within walking distance from all of the great Okoboji activities.

Our family and friends stayed here during the summer of 2008. We love the location, cleanliness, friendliness, family atmosphere and available activities. The owners are great! Our kids loved being able to "tour" the area on the bikes that are provided to guests. We will continue to stay here. The owners have done a great deal of work and repair to improve this place, and I only see it continuing to get better. Great clean, affordable place to stay. Overall, great experience!

Close to everything. Cottage was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Appliances, TV, all worked. Nice having free high speed internet. Game room was fun. Very family oriented with a good host on premises.

I‘ll start off with one good thing...Parkside Cottages is nice and close to West Lake. Within walking distance to a lot of places.
On the other hand, the accomodations were not very nice at all. We had to run the shower for 30 minutes before the water even got warm. The AC only worked half of the time. The refrigerator barely worked. Overall, a bad experience.
